California Pizza Kitchen is owned by Golden Gate Capital, also owners of seafood chain Red Lobster, former owners of Romano's Macaroni Grill, and the popular Eddie Bauer clothing chain. CPK was previously owned by PepsiCo and Bruckmann, Rosser, Sherrill & Co. Their frozen-pizza supermarket brand was owned by Kraft until 2010, when the rights were purchased by Nestlé.
