Insomnia Cookies is a chain of bakeries based in New York and Philadelphia. It currently has over 200 stores, located all over the continental United States. The store was founded in 2003 by Seth Berkowitz, while he was a college student at the University of Pennsylvania. The brand is known to cater to college students who want cookies and other baked goods late at night, so many locations are close to various college campuses.

Berkowitz came up with the concept for Insomnia Cookies as a student, where he baked and delivered cookies to fellow students at the University of Pennsylvania from his own dorm room. The idea flourished from there, and the first brick-and-mortar store was founded in Syracuse, New York in 2006. To garner popularity, Insomnia Cookies began using food trucks to sell their cookies in 2008, and continued to grow. In 2014, they launched an app platform for their customers, and debuted new cookies in the subsequent years that are now fan favorites. Their final food truck closed in 2016, when they also opened their 100th store.
