Bojangles' Inc. is a Southeastern United States based chain of fast food restaurants. Bojangles specifically specializes in cajun seasoning, fried chicken, and buttermilk biscuits. The company was founded in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1977. Bojangles was built on a prediction that consumer would demand for good food served in a quick-service environment. Under Horn & Hardart Company’s ownership, Bojangles’ grew rapidly to a total of 355 locations, 100 of them alone stationed in the state of Florida. After the closing of the Horn & Hardart Company, Falfurrias Capital Partners bought the Bojangles’ chain but sold it four years later to Advent International. In early 2019, Bojangles’ became their own privately held company for the first time in four years. As of the year’s end in 2018, Bojangles’ has 750 plus locations, more than half of which are franchised.
