BJ's Restaurants, Inc. is an American chain of restaurants, some of which contain microbreweries in their location that also supply beer to the other restaurants in the chain. The restaurant chain was founded in 1978 and the headquarter is stationed in Huntington Beach, California. BJ's focuses on American styled comfort food with everything from pizza to hamburgers to steak and more. They have an extensive beer, cocktails and drink menu. Many locations have lots of TV screens showing sports games. The locations with breweries use the name BJ's Restaurant & Brewery while the other locations use the name BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse.

BJ's was founded in 1978 and first opened in Santa Ana, California under the name BJ's Chicago Pizzeria by Mike Phillips and Bill Cunningham. In 1991, Phillips and Cunningham sold BJ's Chicago Pizzeria to Paul Motenko and Jerry Hennessy. The company then bought 26 Pietro's Pizza restaurants in March of 1996 which caused debt. To fix this issue, seven of the locations were sold and plans were made to turn the remaining 19 locations to BJ's Pizza. That same year, the company opened a microbrewery starting a new tradition. In 2013, BJ's had 11 brewery restaurants to serve their chain of 136 restaurants in 15 states.

BJ’s Restaurants has a large variety of food but there are a few house favorites such as the Shrimp Scampi, a dish with sauteed jumbo shrimp mixed with spaghetti, drizzled in garlic butter sauce, and topped with diced tomatoes, fresh basil, parsley, and grated parmesan cheese. Another house favorite is the Enlightened Barbeque Bison Burger, made with all-natural ground bison, red onions, lettuce, and a selection of sauces drizzled in.
