Those looking to avoid red meat can enjoy their chicken and seafood alternative dishes and fillings, while vegetarians and vegans will find a section of the menu tailor-made for them.
Qdoba started life as Zuma Fresh Mexican Grill, founded in 1995 by Anthony Miller and Robert Hauser. The first location was an immediate sucess, making almost ten times its' investors' initial costs. In 1997, a name change was forced (due to legal issues) to Z-Teca; around that same year, Z-Teca started offering franchises, and after much more legal confusion, an ad agency came up with the name "Qdoba" for a rebranding effort.
