BuyVia Blog: Expert Tips for Saving Money in Online Shopping with Coupons and Discounts
Last Update: 11/23/2020
Back in the day, when all gifts had to be bought in stores, retailers would helpfully remind us how many “shopping days” there were left before Christmas - not counting the Sundays, and often Saturdays, when stores were closed. Now, in the age of the Internet, every day can be a shopping day, and store hours are any time we’re awake.
However, that doesn’t mean you can just put off all your shopping until the last minute. Because the snag with doing your Christmas shopping online is, you have to factor in delivery time to be sure your gift will arrive before Santa takes off for the year. So instead of counting shopping days until Christmas, you have to count shipping days.
Fortunately, BuyVia has taken the work out of counting for you. We’ve checked websites for all the major stores to see how long their expected delivery times are for regular shipping, express shipping, and free shipping. If a store doesn’t have this information on the Web, or the information is conflicting, we’ve called customer service to get the scoop or extrapolated from the previous year - so you can just relax and enjoy your eggnog. The PS5 and Xbox Series X represent the latest video game consoles to hit the market in many years. These two game machines will be extremely popular. Both of them have sold out of pre-orders and are on their way to becoming the number one gift for the 2020 holiday season.
When someone says “Black Friday” we normally think of giant crowds clogging shopping malls, shoppers camping outside their favorite stores in order to be the first in, doorbusters and ginormous discounts. But this year, most shoppers will be lounging on their couches with a coffee and laptop.
Why? The Covid-19 pandemic is forcing more and more activities to take place online, and shopping is not an exception. Many stores are implementing some mask, hygiene, and distance rules, along with temperature checks to keep employees and customers safer. Others have simply closed their physical fronts and moved entirely online.

Covid-19 is the most catastrophic event the world has seen in decades; the fact that the disease is global means that people worldwide are having to adapt to and deal with a reality that has not existed for more than a hundred years. Businesses are no exception, especially restaurants and fast food chains in particular.

As the 1960’s American folk rock song “Turn, Turn, Turn,” covered by the band The Byrds, reminded us: “To Everything There is a Season.” Originally written almost entirely from the Book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible, the catchy hit song instills the principle that there is a time and place for everything.
Who knew that this truth also applies to shopping?!
Wrist, hand or back pain? If anyone close to you has ever suffered with Carpal Tunnel, you probably already know just how painful and difficult it can be to live with on a daily basis. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome occurs most frequently in those who use a computer on a daily basis, or while performing other repetitive movements, such as playing a sport, working on an assembly line or playing a musical instrument. The average sufferer is been between the ages of 30 and 60; women are typically more affected by carpal tunnel than men are. Younger people are getting affected earlier as computer usage starts.
Left untreated over time, sufferers of Carpal Tunnel can find themselves with permanent nerve damage and chronic pain in their hands, wrists, and forearms. This is why it is very important to professionally diagnose and treat this condition as quickly as possible. A medical doctor who specializes in hands or a neurologist is a critical first step. However, there are simple exercises and changes in your day-to-day routine that may help alleviate the symptoms associated with Carpal Tunnel. How to get the Best Price on Apple Products
Apple sells billions of dollars of products. With this power, they wield incredible power in the selling channels. Apple products are often hard to find discount. They are sold at what is known as minimum advertised price – (MAP) pricing aka Fixed retail prices. If they tell stores to sell the iPad for $299, all stores are forced to sell it at that price.
Some large online retailers negotiate special deals to offer discounts. The Federal Trade Commission oversees pricing and sets rules. It allows prices to be displayed at non MAP prices when products are added to a shopping cart. A shopping cart is not really advertising.
