Still having Windows 8 problems? Some relief is here. Windows 8.1 is available worldwide as a free update for consumers on Windows 8 through the Windows Store. (Scroll down to see 8.1 info.)

Note: If you installed the Windows 8.1 preview see this page for info on getting Windows 8.1. According to Microsoft "If you don't want to buy a copy of the Pro edition of Windows 8.1, you should return your PC to its previous operating system before installing Windows 8.1."
