Design – Optimal Use

The Toshiba Satellite 14" U845t Ultrabook weighs just 3.8 lbs thanks to it's aluminum design. The 14" HD TruBrite LED Backlit Touchscreen display also has Intel Wireless Display Technology (or WiDi) to send content to other devices over wireless.

It has great battery life, more than enough memory and a 3rd generation Intel CPU with enough power to handle pretty much all home or small office tasks like browsing, email, office applications, casual gaming, etc.

Not for everyone

High-performance users (like video or photo editors) and gamers should look for a purpose-built notebook with a faster processor and discrete graphics chip.

The good: "...thin, with a brushed-aluminum body, a 128GB SSD, and better performance and battery life than the competition."

The bad: "The keyboard has squeezed-down keys, a small space bar, and some flex under heavy typing. The low screen resolution feels dated in a midsize laptop."
