Design – Optimal Use

This is another entry-level 15.6" screen laptop with a decent balance of power and portability making it a good candidate as a desktop replacement. The Dell Inspiron 15 laptop is a tad heavy, weighing in at 4.9lbs but is only 1.2" thin.
The laptop has a 3rd generation Intel CPU which should be enough to handle pretty much standard home or small office tasks like browsing, email and office applications, although casual gaming might be bit of a challenge.

Not for everyone

If you are looking for a light weight laptop for transporting, work, or coffee shops, you should consider a lighter Ultrabook instead. Gamers should look for a purpose-built notebook with a faster processor and discrete graphics chip. Those who prefer the touchscreen feel of Windows 8 should look elsewhere.
