Apple has quietly started a USB Power Adapter Takeback Program where they will replace 3rd party USB power adapters for $10.  There are a lot of cheap adapters from Asia that are unsafe or counterfeit. Ends 10/18

The electrocution of a Chinese woman using a counterfeit iPhone charger started this program.
