If a tablet isn't quite enough for you but many laptops are too much, this might be your PC. It runs the Chrome operating system (and Chrome web browser) and includes a 16GB solid-state (like an SSD) hard drive that means it starts in seconds. It has virus protection built-in and runs your favorite Google apps and has a 74-key keyboard. For storage, it also includes 100GB of free Google Drive storage (for 2 years) and has a built-in 720p webcam and dual band Wi-Fi.

It's not the right choice for much more than web surfing, email and other light-duty tasks, but if that's the majority of your usage, it's 2.7 lbs. weight, 0.8 inches thinness and up to 6 hours of battery life may be just what you're looking for. Some users didn't like that you can't change the web browser, but if you're in the Chrome camp already, it's a good choice.
