Digital Cameras

Digital Cameras have replaced traditional film cameras years ago. Increasingly, users are using digital cameras built into their smartphones to take pictures and video. There still a need for the dedicated digital camera. Picture quality and versatility is much greater with the wide variety of cameras available today.

Point and shoot digital cameras are the most basic models which are good for beginning users. More advanced photographers look for cameras with better low-light capability, longer optical zoom, and GPS functionality. Photographers then graduate to digital SLR's which take pictures with minimal shutter lag, increased quality, and have interchangeable lenses for any situation. A new class of camera is the Interchangeable Lens Camera (ILC) which brings many of the SLR features in a more compact unit.
